Join Friends of Inwood Hill Park & the Inwood Canoe Club for a cleanup of the Dyckman Street Cove and surrounding areas on Saturday, June 24th from 10:30am - 1pm.
Volunteers should wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and clothing that they can get dirty. We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, your own reusable water bottle, and a face mask. ICC will provide some work gloves, hand sanitizer, and grabbers. This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with appropriate adult supervision.
Meeting place: Inwood Canoe Club, 360 Dyckman Street, NYC (down the path and south of The Hudson Restaurant).
Directions: Take the A train to Dyckman Street, and walk west on Dyckman Street to the Hudson River, then South along the river edge to the entrance of the Inwood Canoe Club (established in 1902!)
After you register, you can stay in touch with us at inwoodcanoe.openhouse@gmail.com. Be sure to complete your 2023 season waiver before you arrive at the boathouse.
*IMPORTANT! To ensure the safety of volunteers, leaders, park staff, and our communities, we ask that volunteers adhere to the following guidelines:
